What a 1-to-1 session with me looks like

You are not paying for someone to count reps. You are paying for someone to watch how you move, fix it, push you where it matters and make the gym somewhere you want to be.

  1. We start where you areYou do not need to be fit. Your first sessions are about technique, confidence and finding the level that is right for you today.
  2. Every session has a jobStrength, conditioning or skill work, planned as part of a programme, not random workouts.
  3. The week between sessions is coached tooYour plan covers the days I am not beside you: what to train, what to eat, steps, sleep and routine.
  4. Every Sunday we reviewI look at what actually happened with your training, food and habits, then adjust the plan before things drift.
  5. You message me when you are stuckBad week at work, a weekend that got away from you, a decision you are unsure about. You get an answer, not a lecture.

Common questions

How much does a personal trainer in Belfast cost?

It depends on the route. 1-to-1, semi-private and online coaching are different. Message me with where you are at and I will tell you what makes sense for your situation.

How many sessions a week do I need?

We agree that together based on your goal, your diary and your budget. The plan covers the days in between, so progress does not depend on how many hours you spend with me.

Do I need to be fit before I start personal training?

No. You start where you are and we build from there. Most of my clients had not trained properly in years when they began.

Do I need a JD Gyms membership?

We will sort the gym details together when you start. Message me and I will explain how it works for in-person clients.

What qualifications does Nick have?

Level 3 Personal Training Diploma, fully insured and first aid certified, with 8 years of coaching experience. Nick also lost 40kg himself, from 122kg to 82kg, and kept it off.

Is a personal trainer worth it if I have failed before?

Most of my clients have failed before. That is exactly why the coaching matters. We are not just building a plan. We are building the standards, structure and decision-making that stop you going back to old habits.

What is the difference between 1-to-1 and semi-private?

1-to-1 is just you and me, so every minute is on your training. Semi-private is you plus one or two others, with the same coaching and accountability. Both include the weekly review and WhatsApp support outside the gym.
